This new development will help retain and create jobs in Tunbridge Wells while freeing the company’s current Mount Ephraim site for redevelopment, in keeping with the recent regeneration in that part of the town centre.
Members of the public will have the opportunity to provide their feedback via this website which will help inform the full planning application to be submitted to Tunbridge Wells Borough Council later this year.
Hendy’s proposed development will offer longstanding benefits to Tunbridge Wells with the combination of jobs and the release of a key town centre site for regeneration.
The Hendy business in West Kent is fragmented across a number of small and outdated sites which no longer meet the requirements of its customers, the manufacturers or the business.
The site is located close to the edge of the settlement boundary south of Pembury and north of the A21.
The aim is to submit a planning application to Tunbridge Wells Borough Council, which if approved, would enable Hendy Group to possibly begin work on site in DATE.
